With supercritical power plant and related industries keeping on building, oxidation resistance of stainless steel inner wall under high temperature and pressure is demanded continually increasingly, such as heat exchanger, steam pipes, etc, so the production of stainless steel pipe manufacturing process is required more advanced equipment. Such as 18-8 series stainless steel pipes used in the boilers of firepower superheater and reheater with SUS321HTB ,due to long-term delivery of water vapor with high temperature (above 540 ºC)and high pressure (more than 25MPa),the inner surface is easier to generate the oxidation sheet iron which is more prone to peeling off to cause congestion and damage of equipment tube. After years of research by experts at home and abroad, the stainless steel tube inner wall can increase its oxidation resistance through shot blasting strengthening. Experiments show that: after the inner wall of stainless steel tube through the shot blasting to change external micro-structure ,in use, the various elements (especially Cr) rich layers change obviously to greatly enhance the oxidation resistance. The thickness of oxide layer is 0.07% ~ 1.7% of the oxide layer without shot blasting and the oxide layer will not shell off. So we can see a good shot blasting effect. At present, therefore this special stainless steel tube manufacturers require the use of such small-bore stainless steel tube inner wall shot blasting equipment to improve the oxidation resistance of stainless steel inner wall, at the same time, to achieve the hardening effect of pipe inner wall.
